Founded in 2017, Startupbootcamp AfriTech is the first multi-corporate backed accelerator program for top tier tech ventures in Africa. We empower African founders to scale their solutions, solve the continent’s most intractable problems, and create sustainable businesses that drive employment, social impact and economic value.
We facilitate strong commercial opportunities for our founders and provide a clear route to market through strategic partnerships with governments development partners and corporates (banks, telcos, insurers, retailers etc) across Africa. How we work with partners
SC’s accelerators bring together coalitions of non-competing, complementary partners from different sectors that collaborate with us and our startups before, during and after the program
Program Criteria
Our partners provide kev inputs on where we host the accelerator, the focus/challenge areas we address and the geographies we focus on for our in-person scouting events,
Pilots
SBC concierges pilots and POCs between our partners and startups that provide empower our startups to scale offerings and enable our partners to leverage innovation
Scouting & Selection
Our partners send representatives to our Fast Track scouting events to spot key prospects & provide input during the selection process for the Top 10 startups that form the cohort
Commercial Contracts
After the program, our partners and startups that had successful pilots often decide to collaborate further by signing commercial agreements that create mutual value
Mentorship
During the accelerator, our partners play a critical role as mentors for our startups. Thev provide critical knowledge, experience & relevant connections within their industry
Investment/Acquisition
Partners that spot outstanding value in our startups often choose to engage further by increasing their investment in the startup or engaging in an acquisition
Communications Challenge

Pitching Preparation
We host weekly pitch practice workshops with founders, where they learn how to build a compelling pitch from scratch and deliver it with conviction. In 2022 our pitch coaches led founders to win 8 int'l pitch competitions across Dakar, Paris & Dubai etc
Fundraising Facilitation
We drive the fundraising process for founders by hosting workshops on key areas such as cap tables, funder engagement and startup valuation, with experts like Zach George (CEO Launch Africa, Africa's most active VC). We make intros and host events for founders to connect with prospective investors.
